Protek Gives Back!

Since 1984, Dale Brain Injury Services (DBIS) has been providing community based rehabilitation services to adults living with the effects of an acquired brain injury in London and surrounding areas. Over the last 26 years, the need for these rehabilitation services has steadily grown. As a result, this once small not-for-profit organization which started out with 12 staff supporting 6 individuals in “The Dale Home” has increased in size, to an agency which is now building futures for over 200 individuals across 7 counties and employing 140 staff! This incredible growth, along with the rapid technological advances over the last few years meant that DBIS needed to find a company that could help them with their information and technology requirements.

“With Protek we found a company that provides the expertise we need, and also shares our community focused, customer service philosophy”, says DBIS Executive Director, Sue Hillis. “Protek not only provides services to smaller not-for-profit community organizations like DBIS, they also assist them in achieving their mission.”

Protek’s Staff Fundraising Committee runs a Billiards Day and Silent Auction at Hustler Billiards on an annual basis. This year DBIS’ Affordable Housing Project for Independent Living was chosen as one of the recipients of the funds raised on that day. The $20,000 donation from Protek’s staff and owners allowed DBIS to furnish and equip two entire floors at the newly renovated affordable housing building located at 164 Albert Street.

DIBS is very happy to have found a caring, community-oriented company like Protek, and looks forward to a continuing partnership.
