We are currently seeking Relief Rehabilitation Facilitators to join our team. Successful candidates must be caring, energetic, resourceful and motivated people who are able to provide direct support, including weekends and evenings, to individuals living with disabilities.

Qualifications include:

Have a degree or diploma in human services from an accredited college or university (or completed first year).

  • Consideration will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled as full time students in an applicable program of study.
  • Be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, nights and holidays.
  • Have adequate availability to accept shifts on short notice.
  • Functionally capable of supporting individuals with physical/mobility challenges.
  • Be capable of providing direct support to individuals with a range of service requirements including functional independence training, activities of daily living, personal care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, mobile devices, standard business and productivity software (i.e. – Microsoft Office).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

 

Ideally, candidates will also have:

  • Prior experience in community based human service delivery.
  • Functional awareness of acquired brain injury.
  • Valid class “G” Driver’s License, clean driving record, ability to drive agency minivan.

Job Description

We are currently seeking one permanent Part-Time Behaviour Therapist. For this position, travel maybe required within the 4 counties of Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce. The successful candidate must be caring, energetic, resourceful, motivated and able to provide direct support to individuals living with disabilities.The part-time position is approximately 24 hours per week, usually during regular business hours 8:30am – 4:30pm. The incumbent may be required to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the organization. Additional hours may be required to address emergencies or other urgent matters.

Qualifications:

 Minimum 3 year B. A. in Psychology or a related discipline from a university of recognized standing. A 3 year diploma in Behavioural Sciences Technology from a Community College may also be considered with previous education and/or experience.

 Minimum of one year clinical work experience in the neurobehavioural model of brain injury rehabilitation

 Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.

 Excellent job related interpersonal and social communicative skills.

 Be proficient in the use of personal computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) web applications and web based services.

 Be current in all mandatory training- First Aid & CPR, NVCI, Health & Safety, Person Centered Supports, etc.

 Must have clear drivers abstract and maintain a clean driving record.

 Have no discipline on record that pertains to client welfare (minor medication errors excepted).

 Have exemplary work attendance.Additional Requirements:

 Must have own vehicle, and be able to provide proof from insurance company of $2 million liability coverage.

Additional Responsibilities:

 Work in concert with all Dale Services staff to deliver high quality, cost effective and evidence based neurobehavioural services to clients.

 Engage with individuals under consideration for admission to conduct needs assessments and recommend suitability for admission to the most appropriate service.

 In consultation with the Psychologist ensure the necessary treatment and behaviour change procedures are implemented according to required clinical standards.

 As requested by the consulting Psychologist, Manager of Community Transitional Services or other Managers, the BT will interface with external professionals, including the consulting Psychiatrist and clients’ physicians as necessary.

 Provide therapeutic programming and/or education, support and training both internally and externally to clients, family, caregivers, frontline staff, other service providers, professionals and community partners.We offer competitive salaries, excellent staff training and development opportunities.
